Another Earthquake Hits Japan

Sad news.  Another earthquake has hit Japan, resulting in another tsunami warning in the area.  This quake was only a 7.1 magnitude, meaning it wasn't nearly as bad as the first one, but it's still the last thing that this country needed.

Ever since the initial quake, I've been looking for ways to help out that won't break the bank (since I don't really have one).  It seems that now, even more than before, this country needs all the help it can get.

Here are a few organizations that you can support while staying on a budget:
  • Buy Songs for Japan on iTunes.  The wide array of artists on the album spans from Lady Gaga, to Bob Dylan, to Eminem.  It's only $9.99 and a great group of tracks to add to your library.

  • UNICEF is out to help the children of Japan.  Use this online form to donate to the victims of the earthquake or text JAPAN to 864233 to donate $10.
  • World Vets is an organization with a first responder team that is deployed in Japan.  They are also accepting donations of veterinary supplies and medications at their Fargo, ND headquarters.
